Biografia
Ingegnere delle telecomunicazioni, lavora presso il Servizio Calcolo e Reti dei Laboratori Nazionali del Gran Sasso – INFN. Dal 2023, con il progetto ICSC, contribuisce alla costruzione, messa in produzione e gestione del cluster HPC del laboratorio. Gestisce inoltre l’infrastruttura di rete critica dei LNGS, garantendo il collegamento tra i laboratori underground e le strutture esterne.
Abstract
LNGS: dal nuovo Centro HPC all'arrivo di GARR-T
Negli ultimi anni i Laboratori Nazionali del Gran Sasso (INFN-LNGS) stanno vivendo un’evoluzione significativa delle proprie infrastrutture di calcolo e rete. Grazie al progetto ICSC – Centro Nazionale di High Performance Computing, Big Data e Quantum Computing, è in corso la realizzazione di un nuovo centro HPC destinato a supportare il calcolo scientifico del territorio locale e nazionale. Parallelamente, l’installazione di due PoP GARR-T porterà la rete a 100 Gb/s, abilitando non solo la crescita del cluster HPC, ma anche lo sviluppo futuro dei laboratori e la loro integrazione con l’ecosistema nazionale della ricerca.

A telecommunications engineer, he works at the Computing and Networking Service of the Gran Sasso National Laboratories – INFN. Since 2023, with the ICSC project, he has contributed to the construction, commissioning, and management of the laboratory's HPC cluster. He also manages the critical network infrastructure of the LNGS, ensuring the connection between the underground laboratories and external facilities.
Abstract
LNGS: From the new HPC Center to the arrival of GARR-T
In recent years, the Gran Sasso National Laboratories (INFN-LNGS) have undergone significant developments in their computing and network infrastructure. Thanks to the ICSC (National Center for High Performance Computing, Big Data, and Quantum Computing) project, a new HPC center is underway to support scientific computing at the local and national level. At the same time, the installation of two GARR-T PoPs will increase the network to 100 Gbps, enabling not only the growth of the HPC cluster but also the future development of the laboratories and their integration with the national research ecosystem.
